Typically covered by insurance
Most major plans — including BCBS, Medicare, and UHC — cover the following when medically necessary:
- Office visits & consultations — initial evaluations and follow-up appointments
- Laboratory work — blood panels, metabolic testing, diagnostic labs
- Physical therapy — musculoskeletal rehab, post-surgical PT, chronic pain management
- Some diagnostic imaging — X-rays and select imaging ordered by your provider
Typically not covered
Certain advanced and elective services fall outside standard insurance coverage:
- Orthobiologic procedures — PRP, PPP, BMAC, and A2M
- GLP-1 weight-loss medications — compounded tirzepatide, compounded semaglutide
- Wellness memberships — monthly membership plans

How OWCP billing works
If you're a federal employee injured on the job, you have the right to choose your own doctor — you are not limited to a provider chosen by your agency.
- File your claim — submit a CA-1 (traumatic injury) or CA-2 (occupational disease) form through your agency.
- Choose Innovare Tx as your provider — inform your agency and the Department of Labor that you're selecting our clinic for treatment.
- Receive care with zero out-of-pocket cost — once your claim is approved, OWCP covers 100% of authorized treatment. You pay nothing.
- We handle all OWCP billing — our team manages the paperwork, authorization requests, and billing directly with OWCP so you can focus on recovery.
Approved OWCP claims can cover office visits, physical therapy, diagnostic imaging, labs, and in some cases orthobiologic procedures — depending on DOL authorization.
Transparent pricing
No insurance? No problem. We offer transparent self-pay pricing for patients who prefer to pay out of pocket or whose insurance doesn't cover a particular service. Payment is due at the time of service.

PRP, PPP, BMAC, and A2M are autologous procedures prepared from your own blood or bone marrow. They are considered investigational and are not FDA-approved for the treatment of any specific orthopedic condition, including osteoarthritis. Individual results are not guaranteed. Any decision to pursue an orthobiologic procedure should be made with your provider after a clinical evaluation.
